Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology seeks qualified candidates for an appointment as a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer beginning fall 2023. The Department of Biology has 50 full-time faculty serving over 1,300 majors as well as students from associated university programs at Loyola’s Lakeshore Campus. This position involves teaching courses in Neuroscience in support of the interdisciplinary Molecular/Cellular Neuroscience Major (www.luc.edu/neuroscience). The successful candidate may also teach advanced courses in the candidate’s area of specialization. Standard teaching load for the Lecturer position is 4 courses per semester. Other duties shall include student advising, departmental/university service, and professional development.

Requirements include a Ph.D. and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at all levels. The candidate also should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
