The goals of this conference are: to build a community in the Chicagoland area to support long-lasting collaborations and/or mentorships among female mathematicians, engineers, and scientists; to provide an opportunity for students to present research in a supportive, non-threatening environment; to introduce women to role models in STEM; and to educate local mathematicians, engineers, and biologists on addressing challenges especially relevant to women in STEM.
